Join the Commission

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts will begin accepting applications for the Citizens Commission in January 2019. People Govern Not Money will publicize the application process once it is created.

The Commission will meet monthly and will hold regional meetings throughout the Commonwealth. Commissioners are volunteer and will perform their duties at no cost to taxpayers. Commissioners are expected to attend the Commission meetings, conduct research and hear testimony from Massachusetts residents. In addition to being a Commissioner, volunteers will help support the Commission through research, communication and education of the general public.

People Govern Not Money will also remain active and work with the appointing parties throughout the process, as well as the Citizens Commission once it is formed. People Govern Not Money volunteers will help publicize the Commission’s work and the application process while continuing to raise awareness of the effects of big money in politics.

The online application is now open and can be found here. The deadline to submit your application is April 1st, 2019. Further information about the commision can be found on the Commonwealth of Massachusetts website here
